The month begins on August 3 with the World Catholic Association for Communication (SIGNIS) Congress at St. Famille, bringing together Catholic communicators, journalists, media professionals, and communication experts from around the world to discuss the future of media and communication.
On August 6, Kigali will host two major events simultaneously. The Clean Energy Conference Australia Africa 2026 at the Kigali Marriott Hotel will bring together stakeholders in renewable energy, sustainability, and investment to explore clean energy solutions for Africa. On the same day, Diaspora Home Coming 2026 at the Kigali Convention Centre and BK Arena will welcome Rwandans living abroad and international guests to reconnect, network, and explore investment and development opportunities in Rwanda.
Security and governance take center stage on August 11 with the International Security Conference on Africa (ISCA) at the Kigali Convention Centre, where regional and international experts will discuss peace, security, and emerging challenges across the continent.
Beginning on August 17, Rwanda will host two important international gatherings. The Africa Water & Sanitation Systems Leadership Symposium 2026 at the Kigali Convention Centre will focus on advancing water security and sustainable sanitation systems, while the IAF Africa Regional Conference at Centre Christus will bring together coaches and leadership professionals to exchange knowledge and best practices.
Technology takes the spotlight on August 18 with the African Peering & Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) at the Kigali Marriott Hotel, one of Africa’s leading internet infrastructure events promoting improved connectivity and digital collaboration across the continent.

The month opens on September 1 with the Africa Food Systems Forum at the Kigali Convention Centre, one of Africa’s premier platforms for shaping the future of agriculture, food security, climate resilience, and agribusiness. On the same day, the Intelligent Pregnancy Platform (I3P) at the Kigali Conference & Exhibition Village (KCEV) will bring together healthcare professionals and innovators to discuss advances in maternal and digital health.
On September 3, African Women in Strategy at Mövenpick Kigali will highlight leadership, innovation, and strategic decision making while celebrating the achievements of women across business, government, and entrepreneurship.

The month begins with VIV Poultry Africa 2026 on October 7 at the Kigali Convention Centre, bringing together poultry producers, suppliers, agribusiness leaders, and technology companies from across Africa.
Innovation and entrepreneurship take center stage on October 12 during the Innovate Africa Conference 2026, showcasing breakthrough ideas, startups, digital transformation, and investment opportunities shaping the continent’s future.
Environmental responsibility remains a key theme with the CMAS Sustainability Conference on October 13, encouraging dialogue around sustainable business practices and climate action.
On October 19, the International Conference on Inclusive Insurance will bring together governments, insurers, regulators, and development partners to expand financial inclusion through accessible insurance solutions.
Renewable energy returns to the spotlight on October 27 with the Global Off Grid Solar Forum & Expo (GOGLA) 2026, one of the world’s leading gatherings dedicated to off grid solar technologies, clean energy innovation, and sustainable electrification.

Also beginning on November 2, the Ascent Week Conference will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators for networking and professional development.

Rwanda concludes its 2026 conference calendar with events focused on mining, engineering, research, and sustainable water management.
Beginning on December 6, Rwanda Mining Week at the Kigali Convention Centre will bring together mining companies, government institutions, investors, technology providers, and industry experts to discuss investment opportunities and the future of Rwanda’s mining sector.
The year concludes with the 7th IAHR Africa Congress on December 8 at the University of Rwanda, where engineers, researchers, academics, and water resource specialists will exchange knowledge on hydraulic engineering, climate resilience, and sustainable water resource management.
